The 101st anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev was celebrated in an event organized by the Azerbaijani Embassy in Lebanon.
The embassy staff went to the National Leader’s Park in the Ebba neighborhood of the Nabatieh Governorate in Lebanon.
The local community, embassy staff, members of the Lebanon-Azerbaijan Friendship Society, and the chairman of the Ebba municipality were present at the ceremony.
Speaking during the function, Ambassador Samad Hasanov emphasized the outstanding contributions made by National Leader Heydar Aliyev to the reinstatement of Azerbaijan’s statehood. He underlined that the basis for collaboration between the two nations was created by Heydar Aliyev’s close friendship with former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik al-Hariri.
