Recently, Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO), and a group from the People’s Republic of China Embassy in Pakistan held negotiations at the Central Police Office (CPO) in Islamabad. The Chinese Consular led the team to the meeting, which was attended by the Additional Inspector General of Police, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and other top police officials. The ICCPO expressed gratitude to the Chinese delegation for their kind donation of protective gear to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police and the Islamabad Capital Police on behalf of the People’s Republic of China.
Throughout the conversation, the ICCPO emphasized the protection precautions the Islamabad Capital Police had made for the Chinese Embassy. The Islamabad Capital Police’s Special Protection Unit (SPU) was introduced to the group during a briefing. The ICCPO conveyed its appreciation to China for assisting in the planning of several training courses meant to improve police officers’ abilities.
The Chinese delegation praised the efficient security measures and acknowledged the efforts of the Pakistani government and the Islamabad Capital Police in protecting the nationals of the People’s Republic of China in Pakistan. They also reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing future collaboration between Beijing Police and the Capital Police of Islamabad.
