Passport will not be kept by the Italian embassy until the visa is decided

May 28, 2024 (BSS) in Dhaka The Italian Embassy in Dhaka has chosen not to retain the passports of those requesting work visas from Italy until it makes a determination about visa issuance.

“As of May 28, 2024, applicants will simply need to submit a scan and photocopy of their passport when submitting an application for an Italy work visa in Bangladesh. Original passports will be promptly returned to the applicants, according to a press statement from VFS Global.

The announcement also stated that following the embassy’s decision, original passports would be needed once more in order to issue visas.
